I made a quick snack today and there is nothing easier than this 4-Minute Air Fryer Garlic Bread—it’s incredibly quick and simple, ready in just four minutes! If you have bread that’s nearing its sell-by or use-by date, this is the perfect way to turn it into a delicious snack and avoid waste.
For Filipinos who didn’t grow up with garlic bread because we had our favorite pandesal, maybe it’s time for us to explore other kinds of bread with filling. One of them is what I’ll be sharing with you. As long as you have an air fryer, you can make this garlic bread, it only takes 4 minutes. It’s very easy and simple, and now you’ll have something to pair with your coffee.
Garlic bread is often served as an appetizer, but I usually skip it at restaurants because I prefer to focus on the main dish I ordered. Instead, I prefer making garlic bread at home and having it as a snack. I like to keep it simple, using only the classic ingredients—no fancy toppings. Of course, you’re welcome to customize it however you like. Let’s begin.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces of bread bun or baguette
- Unsalted butter
- Garlic powder
- Mozzarella shredded cheese
Instructions
- Slice the bread in halves to make it 4 pieces
- Spread with unsalted butter, then sprinkle with garlic powder, and top with shredded cheese.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes.
- Then, start putting the bread in the basket.
- Air fry at 400F for 4 minutes. If the bread you’re using is thick, add a minute or two.
- Pair it with soup, coffee, or any of your favorite drinks. Enjoy!

Air Fryer Garlic Bread Type
In this recipe, I used a sourdough bun which was soft and slightly sweet—an ideal complement to the garlic. However, on other occasions, I used different kinds of bread. Most breads that are used for garlic breads are baguettes.
I paired the garlic bread with a bowl of Vietnamese pho that I bought from the store. This combination was so filling that was meant to be a snack and ended up a full meal.
